Beef Yakiniku Rice Bowl

I love Japanese rice bowl (Donburi), meat dish served over a bowl of rice. Donburi has many varieties such as Oyakodon, Katsudon, etc.

Beef Yakiniku Rice Bowl

Serve : 2

Ingredients :
300 gr beef, slice thinly
½ onion, peel and slice thinly
1 bell pepper, core and slice thinly
3 tbsp cooking oil
white sesame seeds to garnish

Marinade :
3 tbsp Kikkoman all purpose soy sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp mirin
½ tsp pepper
2 tbsp sake

Steps :
Stir together the marinade in a bowl. Pour in into the beef slices, mix well. Let it sit for about 2 hours.

Prepare two serving bowls, add in cooked white rice into them. Set aside.

Into a pan over medium high heat, add in cooking oil and onion slices. Fry the onions until fragrance. Then add in the marinated beef. Cook until half-cooked then add in the bell pepper. Continue cooking until the beef slices are fully cooked. Turn off the heat. Transfer into prepared bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds.
