Chorizo and White Beans in Tomato Sauce

I fell in love with Spanish tapas since I visit a good tapas bar name "Las Tapas" in Dresden, Germany. Last month I had an opportunity to visit Spain for the first time, I have tried few tapas restaurants there and it makes me want to try making some Spanish dishes at home.

And this is it, first Spanish tapas recipe from my kitchen! What is tapas? Tapas is one of food varieties in Spanish cuisine, they are many kinds of (mostly savory) snacks which are served as appetizer, could be served cold or hot. Another tapas recipe will be in the next posts 😉

FYI : Chorizo is Spanish preserved (pork) sausage, which has red color from the smoked red bell pepper, tastes salty and sometimes also spicy.

Chorizo and White Beans in Tomato Sauce

Serve : 4

Ingredients :
250 gr canned white beans, drain
125 gr chorizo, slice
½ medium size onion, peel and mince
4 tbsp olive oil
200 ml tomato sauce
150 ml water
salt (if needed)
pinch of ground black pepper
some thyme
some basil
some oregano
some parsley

Steps :
Into a pan over medium high heat, add in olive oil, chorizo and onion. Fry them until fragrance and until the oil start turning red.

Add in white beans, tomato sauce and the herbs (thyme, basil, oregano, parsley). Stir slowly until combined.

Add in water and season with salt (if needed) and black pepper. Mix evenly. Turn off the heat and transfer into serving bowls.
