Honey Mustard Pork Fillet

There is always big discount in the supermarket where I shop regularly. And recently I find a lot of cheap price for pork fillet, the normal price for 1 kg pork fillet is €9.99 but this time was €5.99 😀 So why don't I buy and cook it. This time I would like to marinate and enjoy it with honey and mustard mixture.

Honey Mustard Pork Fillet

Serve : 2

Ingredients :
500 gr pork fillet
1 tbsp cooking oil

Marinade :
½ tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp salt
1 garlic, peel and mince
Big pinch of black pepper
1 tbsp honey

Sauce :
1 ½ tbsp prepared mustard
1 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp honey
⅓ tsp salt
pinch of black pepper
100 ml water
1 tsp corn flour

Steps :
Mix the marinade ingredients into a small bowl. Then rub it into the pork fillet. Place the pork into a plate then cover it with plastic wrap. Put into the fridge and let it marinated for couple of hours or overnight.

After couple of hours, take the pork from the fridge. Prepare a flat-bottomed pan over medium high heat, add in oil and put the pork. Fry it until quite golden brown in color. Turn off the heat.

Preheat oven into 180 degree Celsius. Put the pork into a baking tray lined with a aluminum foil. Bake for about 20 minutes or until it fully cooked.

For the sauce, mix all the sauce ingredients in a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat and stir them constantly until there's no lump in it. Continue cooking until it thickens. Set aside.

Slice the pork, pour the sauce over it. Serve with warm white rice and another vegetable dishes like Sauteed Snap Peas, Carrot and Mushroom, Sauteed Bean Sprouts and Tofu, Sauteed Bokchoy and Black Ear Mushroom, Sauteed Chinese Cabbage, Sauteed Choysum and Sprouts, Sauteed Celery and Shrimps, etc.
