Sauteed Choysum and Bean Sprouts

A quick and simple vegan dish, a good companion for your meat dish like Roasted Five-Spice Pork Belly, Charsiu BBQ Pork, Steamed Chicken Rice, etc. Choysum and bean sprouts can be bought in many Asian grocery stores.

Sauteed Choysum and Bean Sprouts

Serve : 4

Ingredients :
300 gr choysum, cut into 3 cm long, separate the thick stalks and the leaves
200 gr bean sprouts
2 tbsp cooking oil
2 cloves garlic, peel and smash
50 ml water
salt and pepper to taste

Steps :
Into a pan or a wok over medium high heat, add in cooking oil and garlic, fry until fragrance. Then add in the thick choysum stalks, saute for a while then add in choysum leaves and the sprouts. Stir a little bit then add in water. Stir them again until begin to soften.

Season with salt and pepper, turn off the heat and transfer into a serving plate. Serve with meat dishes.
