Turnip Cake

Turnip cake or radish cake (chinese : 萝卜糕, luóbo gāo) is very popular in Asian especially in Hong Kong and South China (Cantonese). It is usually served in dimsum restaurants. Dimsum is snacks which are served in small pieces or small portions, usually enjoyed with a cup of tea as a brunch.

Turnip cake has a special aroma from the mixture between turnip/radish itself, shrimp and shiitake mushroom. It also has a soft and chewy texture because of the rice flour. It is served with soy sauce dip or chili sauce.
